Last year as COVID 19 changed our lives in a negative way 3 Kirkcudbright teachers decided to try something positive and started having tuition with our very own Andy McCartney!
James Flannighan, Ruth Gordon and Robert McClune began having online tuition with Andy & Nick Gordon. Andy said ” they were absolutely fantastic” It normally takes at least 2 years for a complete novice to move on to Highland bagpipes but the trio did this in just over a year.
We all had a lot of fun and a lot of enjoyment and had a great journey.
On the final day of term for the Kirkcudbright P7 pupils the teachers were able to give them a fantastic send off by piping them from the school as a farewell on the last day of term.
Well done the teachers – what a great achievement which could become an Annual traddition!
